Dr. George Baxter-Holder now 15 years clean and the Author of Drugs, Food, Sex and God takes us through 9 years of horrific intravenous methamphetamine abuse. George started using drugs at the age of 16 as a coping mechanism for dealing with his feelings of insecurity when he discovered he was gay.  It quickly progressed into a full blown addiction to Chrystal Meth and he eventually starts living in the streets and dealing drugs to support his very expensive drug habit.  While in his addiction George gets arrested and spends 3 years in prison for drug dealing and it turns out to be the best thing that could have happened to him. It was in jail that George has his first spiritual awakening and his journey into recovery begins.

Gloria Uridel, now 27 years clean and a Y12SR yoga instructor takes us through her shocking battle against drug addiction, alcoholism and Bulimia. Ultimately Gloria hits rock bottom when she gets married and her husband turns her on to crystal meth and her life completely spirals out of control. It is in that moment that her coworkers perform an intervention and Gloria is introduced to recovery.  Today Gloria is a pillar in her community and helps others battle this horrible disease by combining Yoga with Recovery, it’s an amazing and uplifting journey of recovery.

George D. now 6 years clean, takes us through over 20 years of drug addiction, child abuse and a completely dysfunctional family life.  At the age of 16 George begins using alcohol and marijuana to detach from his painful childhood trauma.  Around this same time his sister goes public about child abuse in the home and his entire life gets turned completely upside down and George ends up homeless. Randy H. now 15 years sober takes us through 20 years of drug dealing, addiction and alcoholism.  At the age of 18 Randy moves out of his parents’ house and starts selling drugs to maintain his drug habit. A few years later Randy moves to Mexico to sell time shares and begins consuming massive amounts of cocaine and heavily drinking daily. Joins us now as Randy gets the Monkey off of his back and takes us through his amazing journey in Recovery traveling to Machu Picchu, Uganda and Mount Kilimanjaro.
